From March 10 to 11, 2025, Chongqing Water Resources and Electric Power Vocational College (hereinafter referred to as “Chongqing Water Vocational College”) collaborated with Vietnam’s ROBOBOSS Company and SRIZFLY Company to carry out a series of discussions on international education cooperation and the development of drone training. This initiative aims to respond to the Ministry of Education’s “New Double High Construction” goals, further expanding international exchanges and cooperation while driving the internationalization of vocational education.

Deepening International Cooperation: Exploring New Models for Vocational Education

In line with the Ministry of Education’s five-year internationalization goals, Chongqing Water Vocational College has identified international exchange and cooperation as a key focus area. Several innovative collaboration models were proposed, including:
- Overseas Education: Establishing Chinese teaching departments and training workshops in existing overseas educational institutions;
- Language and Technical Training: Conducting Chinese language and vocational skill training through student exchange programs;
- Vocational Standards Development: Collaborating with international partners to establish vocational entry standards, clarifying the qualifications required for specific roles;
- Study in China Programs: Attracting overseas students for short-term study in China, with scholarship support provided by the Chongqing government.
Chongqing Water Vocational College emphasized its commitment to leveraging this opportunity to achieve the national goal of attracting 50,000 students from Europe and the U.S. to study in China over the next five years.
ROBOBOSS’s Perspective: Significant Potential for Drone Training Collaboration

Ryan, the director of Vietnam’s ROBOBOSS Company, shared updates on their current drone (aviation) training projects and expressed strong interest in Sino-Vietnamese educational cooperation:
- ROBOBOSS has already established partnerships with several universities, including Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, and Ton Duc Thang University, offering a conducive environment for overseas education initiatives.
- The company invests $20,000 to $30,000 annually to support 3 to 5 students studying in Thailand and Singapore, with graduates joining ROBOBOSS as employees. Ryan expressed willingness to facilitate exchange programs with Chinese institutions, providing Vietnamese students with combined Chinese language and vocational training.
Ryan highlighted that ROBOBOSS is eager to establish a student exchange program with Chongqing Water Vocational College, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration in drone training.

On-Site Visits: Impressive Achievements in Drone Education
On March 11, 2025, Kim Long, Director of ROBOBOSS, along with Dean Sun and other leaders from Chongqing Water Vocational College, visited the college’s drone simulation training laboratories and live drone training fields within the School of Electrical Engineering and School of Architecture.
During the visit, Chongqing Water Vocational College showcased its advanced expertise in drone education, including the application of simulation technologies, the design of practical training courses, and strategies for cultivating students’ vocational skills. These achievements were highly praised by the ROBOBOSS team.
Roundtable Discussion: Shaping the Future of Collaboration
In the subsequent roundtable discussion, the three parties conducted in-depth talks on the specific directions for future international collaboration. Key topics included:
- Feasibility analysis and implementation pathways for overseas education programs;
- Detailed models for student exchange programs and language training initiatives;
- Comprehensive strategies for developing students’ vocational and language skills.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties agreed to use successful cases provided by Chongqing Water Vocational College as references and to select a breakthrough point for pilot implementation, gradually advancing the collaboration.

This event marks a significant step forward for Chongqing Water Vocational College in the field of international education cooperation.
